AIBU?

To not understand what Claudia Winkleman is doing with her whole eye/fringe thing

I mean, I think she looks manic and weird and sometimes it works and sometimes she looks like central casting for Mrs Rochester.

How did she get Film 2010? I mean fine she's ok but really, she can hardly have been the best person for the job! Pretty and bright and dementedly enthusiastic like a Posh Puppy, but really, I'd rather have someone with more knowledge myself.

Personally I dont like her style of interviewing, and hate the kind of fake scatty type of personality she tries to pull off.
I don't like her on striclty either and the way too long fringe looks daft.

yy agree with tennisfan, fake scatty indeed. She's very irritating.

Good grief what they say about the Sisterhood being crap is true

She's a clever, witty, articulate woman; she doesn't dress like a bimbo, she's presenting a show that's been presented by a bloke for years and years. And you come on here and have a go at her hair?

Jonathan Ross had no bloody knowledge and his hair was insane

I despair for feminism, I really do

I agree with Cappster - we are judging her professional ability, primarily because of her hair... good one

Never mind that, she said "fuck" on air!

it's her "style" & I think it's quite unique so I applaud her for it.

Like her. Not so keen on the fake scatty thing, but think she is very good. Don't think she said f$$$, wasn't it a geordie accented lady in the back room?

o, btw she has a MA in The History of Art from Cambridge

you want some one with more knowledge?

I really like Winkleman. I like her hair and her style and I like that she's quirky attractive instead of unattainable attractive. I could imagine being mates with her.

It's the funny nude lipstick I find odd.

L like her and I find her funny too!

I also like that fact that she doesn't conform to the current 'norm'. I like quirky.

I think Jonathan Ross was QUITE keen on films and knew a bit about them.

I like her. And she does Film 2010 live, which is brave in my book.

I just want to blow her fringe out of her eyes whenever I see her. And it is impacting on her professional ability if she can't see the bleeding film because of her "quirky bangs".

I don't actually mind her. But thank heavans for Danny Leigh is all I can say.

"o, btw she has a MA in The History of Art from Cambridge"

Anyone who goes to Oxford or Cambridge can upgrade their BA to an MA by the simple expedient of waiting a couple of years after graduation and then bunging the university a tenner.

This has no bearing on Winkleman's merits as a presenter, but I do agree she could do with a haircut.

I like her but the hair in the eyes is really annoying

Only seen a couple of Film 2010 with her. She's much better than I thought she was going to be. (still prefer JR)

WTF does history of art have to do with films?!!

I love her hair and I don't mind her presentation style either. Much less idiosyncratic and instrusive than Jonathan Ross and the show is all the better for it.

i think i remember reading an interview (or seeing her give one)in which she talks about her eyes, i think she has some sort of condition that makes her sight very bad and that is why she always looks so manic trying to read the autocue.cant remember more than that though.
