Neurotic parents in the school playground

Just wondering if all parents in the school playground (apart from me ha!) are neurotic, angry, self centered, evil, selfish, blinkered, crazy, paranoid loons!
I only ask because they all seem to migrate towards me. They may think I am interested or easy prey because I look into the distance when they are talking but really I am thinking what shall we have for tea tonight red or white! This has followed me round from pre school to school and it is different people as soon as I edge slowly away from one, another one snares me!
I really can't be arsed is it just bad luck or is it the norm? Usually it's the parents that demand special attention for their kids, because they are anxious, finding mixing with other kids hard etc, then they scream at them to be quiet and don't let them have tea at their friends houses or have to invite themselves too, won't let them go to parties,I even know a mother who will not let her son wear shorts in case he falls over wtf!!! I feel like shouting you silly fuck you are ruining your child!!!
Sorry for rant but would like to know I'm not the only one!

I think if you feel that every single parent you have ever met from prescool and school is neurotic then the problem probably lies with you.

Well hopefully they will get the gist you aren't at all pleasant, are planted firmly up your own rear and not make any effort to speak to you or be friendly in future!! Smile

Maybe they are trying to find a way to tell her that there's dog poop on her shoes or a tampon hanging out of her trouser leg but they are too embarassed. Grin

I did actually know a mum at ds1 nursery who puts on crop trousers to her ds in case he falls. Not that he gets the chance she runs behing him shrieking after nursery if he even looks at the climbing frame. Abdomen that is only one of the many neurosis she has.
