Allergies and intolerances

Following live webchat which didn't happen, how much do we know about allergies & vaccines?

At age 11, I was told by my doctor (who had a good deal of allergy knowledge) not to have rubella as it was cultured on rabbits & I risked a reaction x100!!!
Didn't go for MMR for DD because I read that the measles part could be a reaction trigger & they also couldn't tell me what culture was used.
Anyone know anything about possible allergic reactions to any other vaccines?

a relative of mine has an allergy to eggs. The relative was advised to have MMR in hospital (apptly the vaccine is grown in eggs). This was so that treatment was on hand in case of vaccine triggering anaphalaxis (sp???). Relative's mother asked if singles could be given instead on the NHS. The answer was no, have MMR but do it in hospital. Relative's mother paid for singles.

I believe that general anaesthetics are also contra-indicated if you have an egg allergy.

Presumably if your allergy is bovine-based, any vaccines grown in a bovine culture have the potential to cause a reaction?
