Cant; find a 70% to 85% cocoa chocolate nut free

Can you recommend a 70% to 85% cocoa chocolate nut free good for cakes and cupcakes?

I have a nut allergy and I have eaten Green & Blacks chocolate without any problems. Don't know if it specifically nut free. The is also that venezualan black chocolate, the one made in devon that is high in cocoa. It comes as a cylinder of chocolate and i have seen it in waitrose. I think they only make chocolate, so not other nut products to cause contamination. Have not cooked with either of these so not sure if this is much help. Can you not use cocoa powder?

Thanks Jemli, did not think of cocoa powder, do you use it in the same way as a bar? Just wanted to bake some cupcakes with my son and cannot seem to find one that does not have the warning... I've contacted Green and Blacks customer services and they said there are nuts in their factory so cannot guarantee no trace of nut in any product bla bla bla ... I get angry when they say that, I know I shouldn't...I just believe they could make the effort and manage their production properly to be able to say what is safe as so many companies do...sorry about it!

Plamil do quite nice chocolate, but not sure what it's like to cook with. Aldi 70% or 85% cocoa dark chocolate is also pretty good, but I'm not sure whether it has a specific nut free claim (unlike Plamil which guarantees to be made in a nut and dairy free environment).

last time I spoke to Green & Blacks there were no peanuts in their factory, only tree nuts. They were also quite contamination aware. Doesn't help us but if you are only concerned with peanut allergy you could check current position.

Kinnerton make a dark chocolate bar for Sainsburys that may be suitable, not sure of the %. Look in the free from area. I don't make much chocolate cake but generally use cocoa powder.
