Eczema and weaning

So I’ve started weaning my 6 month old who has eczema. And the fear of him having an allergic reaction is causing me such anxiety. I’m symptom checking constantly that I realise now my behaviour/anxiety is extreme. As the doctor told me to introduce one thing at a time for 3 days then a 3 day break before trying something new we’ve only done a few things veg/fruit. Everyone I have spoken to HV, GP, dietician etc have all made me so worried to wean talking about severe allergic reactions etc And how he’s more at risk because he has eczema.

Anyway I’m rambling now.

Anyone have any experience of this anxiety and eczema?

does your family have a history of allergies you only need to worry if you have a family history my daughter has eczema but only a mild peanut allergy.Weaning can be so fun look how much fun my second daughter is having.Shes 7 months old and chowing down on my home made spaghetti bolenase .I cooked it myself so i could make sure it has no salt and low fat

At each meal of the day i chop some fruit and veg and place in front of her let her play. Her formula will keep her happy until she learns how to eat so theres no worry if she does not eat.In the morning i chop two soft fruits and some rice crispies as they dont have salt or anything really .At lunch two soft vegetables and one fruit .Today i gave her cucumber, avocado and grapes.Dinner i gave up mashed potato, chopped hard boiled egg, chopped steamed brussel sprouts and parsnips

Just get a mini white board if your worried and write down his meals of the day.If he gets a rash or reaction you can avoid it

Thank you so much @rosydreams I really needed to hear and see this. I’m going to keep pushing myself to just do it because there’s no other way around it. Lol no allergies in direct family but my husbands cousin has some allergies but hopefully so far removed from my son that it won’t be an issue. My brother had eczema and dairy allergy as a child and is fine now so really hoping my son is the same!

Again thank you so much. And for the idea of a white board too! Your daughter is adorable 😍
