Start using Mumsnet PremiumToddler lactose intolerant?
(5 Posts)Dd3 had to go onto lactose free milk as a tiny baby but we moved onto cows milk at around 1 as no one told us different. Ever since she’s had constant diarrhoea/soft stools. She has really bad trumps too.
We have recently taken her doctors and we have to send him a poo sample?
We think she’s lactose intolerant because she loves milk/cheese/yogurts!
How do we cope cutting them out, what alternatives are there? What’s the best lactose free milk? Any help greatly appreciated! Xx
the arla lactose free milk is a good substitute. you can just use it where you would regular milk x

Or if you want formula there is SMA Wysoy.
There are loads of free from yoghurts/cheeses etc - all major supermarkets have a selection. It will be down to preference from your LO.
There's a great fb group that offers advice and support too; it's well worth joining.
DD1 developed lactose intolerance aged 15 and we find lots of alternatives so she can still have milk, yogurt, cheese etc.
Fb group is called Lactose + dairy intolerance awareness UK
