Hello all!
Not sure if I’m going to get into trouble for this?
I have lots of unopened and unused tins of Neocate. I bought them for my little one but luckily he’s outgrown his allergy so they are no longer needed.
Would anyone like them for free? Collection from Liverpool. I’ve tried putting them on gumtree and eBay for free but I’ve had a couple of emails from an nhs volunteer saying that they are going to report me to nhs fraud so I’m too scared to put them up again Sad
Seems a shame to waste them as they’re so expensive to buy (I know they’re available on prescription but I had bother trying to get enough prescribed so had to purchase) so they’re free if anyone would like to collect?
Apologies mumsnet if this isn’t allowed, please remove thread if it’s not.

Why not return them to the pharmacy? What you don't want to do is promote self diagnosing of a rare allergy and then a parent putting their lo on Neocate when it's not necessary. Plus without any medical supervision could lead to some issues.

If you are near a wildlife centre or similar then they might appreciate these. I’ve read appeals for neonate and similar for baby primates and maybe other animals could use it too.

@0Hey the pharmacy will throw them away. I just think it’s such a waste so want to try help someone else out if I can.
@PocketFullOfPuddock I hadn’t thought of that, thank you! I’ll ring round and see if it’s many goodSmile

@0Hey I know where you’re coming from though regarding self diagnosis. I had such trouble getting it from my gp as he would only give me one tin and told me that it should last a month!! Thats why I ended up buying it in the end.
