Too embarrassed to see my GP

Hi there, this is probably the wrong board but I just need some help.

I'm currently too embarrassed to go to my gp as my regular female doctor is on maternity leave.

I gave birth 13 weeks ago, since then I've had really really bad flatulence, like super smelly and non stop all day, my tummy feels bloated and when I go for walks I bleed from my bum.

I have a high fibre low gi vegetarian diet & I've recently switched to a lactose free diet for breastfeeding reasons. I think I'm very healthy. All meals are home cooked, I try not to use premade sauces and we rarely eat out (can't afford to) I'm not constipated and go to the bathroom for a number 2 maybe twice a day. I don't have pain passing stools. Although it does hurt to sit for long periods of time.

I'm just wondering would anyone have any idea what could be the cause?

If you are bleeding from your anus you need to book an urgent appointment with your gp.
Tell him you bleed and are bloated. Then add you also suffer from continuous flatuence.

Go to your GP. Don't be so silly over being embarrassed. THEY DON'T CARE.

You are bleeding from your anus; that is not a funny medical complaint. A gp will not find that amusing.

The bleeding only happens when I'm walking it's like chaffing so I'm not sure if it's cause I've not yet lost my pregnancy weight. Just thought maybe pregnancy could trigger a digestive/food intolerance which is causing these symptoms and someone else had been through a similar thing.

You only bleed from your anus when walking? Well that's totally normal then.... really?

Don't ignore stuff like that. And don't be so wet that you don't see a doctor because you need to talking about your plumbing. They do not care. Make a same day appointment on Monday.

@Fiffyshadesofgreymatter will do boss!

I guess I just wanted to know if anyone had similar symptoms and knew what it was.

You need to go to a doctor. It could be piles, but there are obviously other possibilities which may need urgent investigation.

@ElspethFlashman thank you! It most likely is. I'll make the appointment now Flowers
