Am in kefalonia with dh, ds6 and ds3. We were having lunch out st a taverna (I eat everything and have no food allergies) anyway as we were sitting there I had a severe allergic reaction to something, don't know what, it's never happened before. I just turned bright red, firstly on my face, and then it worked its way across my arms and chest, and was suddenly covered in hives and felt disconnected and very faint. Then had this crushing headache too. Dh and I were both terrified but trying to keep it from both ds. Dh managed to get some antihistamines into me and get me back to our villa, and after more antihistamines and oral morphine (and 24 hours of the most horrendous d&v 😳) I'm much better. Frightening though, as no idea what caused it. I was eating a bloody tuna salad for gods sake and drinking a Coke Zero!!

Hi there. Thanks so much for replying. I have had epipens in the past, for bee and wasp stings, but stupidly have let them lapse as haven't ever had an episode in the ten years since diagnosis. I have a skin condition called urticaria pigmentosa which means I 'may' be allergic to them. (I am pretty allergic to mosquitoes etc). I also am staring to become allergic to plastic bags and things, and come up in a rash after handling them. It is very stupid of me to let the epipens lapse, and I will get a repeat prescription when I get home, especially as I am a very keen gardener and live in the middle of nowhere 
I haven't been seen by any medical staff, it happened 5 days ago, and I've had nausea and diarrhoea since though and have only been eating what I have cooked at the villa.
