Hello, my LO is 8 months old, she was diagnosed with reflux as a baby and was on ranitidine which she done well on. The older she got the DR switched her to omeprazole, for the first week on this she was fine but the 2nd week and since has been violently sick once if not twice a day and has developed this awful choking cough.

I returned to the Drs who gave us Nutramigen milk but there was no change, we returned again and her omeprazole was upped to 15mg once a day, still she continues to be sick and have this cough. Has anyone else experienced this?

Should I cut al dairy out? Should I continue with omeprazole I’m at my wits end and my poor baby can’t enjoy being that sick and her wee oesophagus can’t be coping well.

I await a phone call from DR on Tuesday but really at a loss.

If she’s on Nutramigen you definitely should cut out the dairy. Not point in giving it to her if you don’t Smile
