Possible CMPA

DD2 is 14 weeks old. She struggles to put on weight due to congenital heart defects, but needs to put on weight before surgery.
When in hospital they tried giving her fortified expressed breastmilk, but she seemed to react to that - immediate vomiting. So dietician suggested she may have mild CMPA (as fortifier is milk based) and said to continue exclusive breast feeding but did not suggest I cut out cows milk.
DD continued to struggle to put on weight, so dietician added in formula - a high calorie hydrolysed formula (infatrini peptisorb) for night feeds and breastfeeding during the day.
She's always been a fairly frequent vomiter, but since the few times she had fortified milk she's been getting worse. She also has a lot of wind, I can hear it rumbling around her intestines, and she's had some mucous in her, fairly explosive, poo. her skin is flawless though! She also coughs when feeding and gets hiccups multiple times a day.
So, in view of worsening intestinal problems, and persistently slow weight gain dietician recommended omeprazole for reflux which we started last night.
Health visitor has also suggested cutting dairy out of my diet due to the suggestion of CMPA. I'm happy to try that. We see dietician next week, so I'll discuss it with them too. But does it sound like CMPA? In my experience CMPA causes more severe reactions!

My daughter (22w) has CMPA, likely as a result of formula topups as she was slow to regain birth weight. She started with reflux and had ongoing slow weight gain, then developed mucus poos with blood flecks, severe wind at nighttime and irritability. She gets frequent hiccups and coughs when lying flat. So yes, it does sound suspicious for CMPA. Sounds like it would be worth a trial off dairy and soy. Make sure you take calcium and vitamin supplements though and keep a symptom / food diary. Treating the reflux with Omeprazole helped a lot (tried Ranitidine first).

She has been more grumpy the last couple of days but I didn't attribute that to her diet!
There's no blood in her poo, just either mucous or very runny.
I went out yesterday to feet supplies to cut out dairy. Didn't think to cut out soy too, I bought soy yogurt! Got oat milk to try. Couldn't find a cheese acceptable to me (all coconut based and I can't stand coconut) so it's a cheeseless existence for me now! I don't mind doing it if it'll help DD2, but it's a major change for me if it's not indicated for her! Also don't want to miss something else. Just wanted some other experiences to compare to. Like I said, the only experiences I've had the babies have reacted more severely.

Sounds like cmpa. You'll only know for sure by cutting out dairy for 6 weeks, then drinking one glass of milk and see if she reacts.
