Bag for epipens and various medicines

My seven year old has allergies and we have to carry around two epipens, a bottle of antihistamine, an inhaler and a spacer. We recently keep getting a bit messed up with moving them around between various places and bags, and its not safe because we don't tend to know where it all is at any one moment, without a bit of a hunt. So, we need a bag to carry all of this in one place. But I am struggling to find what I am looking for, so I wondered if anybody has any recommendations? We need:

  1. big enough to fit it all in, but as small as possible
  2. we want it to be discreet - so in black or blue (no bright yelllow or orange!)
  3. I would like a cross-body strap - so we don't have to hold it, or put in into another bag. Whoever is with him, can then just wear it, leaving hands free for getting on with life.

But I cannot find any bags that are big enough, dark enough, or have a shoulder strap. Does anybody else have anything like this please? if not, any what do you do/use?

Thank you.

My dd uses this one www.yellowcross.co.uk/products/carry-bag It has yellow to the underside of the strap. Thermal to protect from temperature. I wont lie, it is fairly tight to fit everything in but we manage, with what you have stated. Antihistamine in very small bottle from here www.alwaysreadthelabel.info/page2.htm
We still juggle it into different carry bags but this is fav due to heat protection. She does often just slip it into her rucksack too.

Look at allergy buddies they have a website and a FB page and they have a variety of bags and things which are great

Thank you both for replying.

Chloesmum: that looks good because it can be easily shoved in another bag, or worn. Can you just sling that over your shoulder and use it like that?

You can sling it over the shoulder but due to it being a light small bag it is better over head and shoulder (across chest) so it stays put. Dd never uses it as a bum bag across tummy as being so full it is not able to bend to her shape with straight epipens in.

Ah thanks. That's really helpful.

I was surprised there was so little choice out there... there seems to be a bit of a hole in the market here.

We just use a bum bag. The strap on it can be lengthened enough that I can wear it cross body. Plus it's Star Wars branded so DS doesn't mind carrying it.
