They've changed the recipe, they now have whey in them.

No more for us. I didn't notice before I let dd have them.

Was it the big or mini ones as they were different recipes the last time we had, one had it in, one didn't but can't recall which way round?!

I only discovered this recently as haven't bought them for a couple of months. I too hadn't noticed until dd had them , they didn't make it obvious that they had changed the recipe.
The mini ones always had whey in, so they seemed to use this as justification to put into the regular ones now. dd is bored of bourbons and Biscoffs, struggling to find any treats that she wants to eat.

Sadly manufacturing methods keep changing over the years. My now adult ds1 was diagnosed with peanut and tree nut allergies at 20 months, and has recently developed chick pea allergy. We've found chocolate bars and biscuits have gone back and forwards from safe to unsafe and safe then unsafe over the years. His allergy is potentially life threatening. The dd of a friend died after accidentally eating something with nuts in. Sadly you have to keep reading the ingredients lists whenever you shop. Drives me mad and takes ages. Shopping is much quicker when ds is away from home and I just shop for the rest of us. But of course he's stuck with it for life.

Currently it only shows products from tesco and does not include ingredients that "may contain" an ingredient so you still need to look at the label, but hopefully it will narrow down your search.

superoz try Party Rings. Dairy free and you can get the normal big ones or little Individual packets. My DS loves them. Also, the Nairns rocket biscuits are v popular, and lower in sugar than normal biscuits.

Artesia, yes we do occasionally have party rings but they are mega sugary so I limit it for the sake of their teeth . I'll try the Nains rocket biscuits, dd1 is always on the lookout for something new!
