Allergies and intolerances

dd 13, milk allergy back again!

Dd was severely allergic to milk age 0-3 and after that was just very slightly sensitive. So all was well until one weekend when she had a d&v bug and was off all food except chocolate milkshakes, so after 3 days of nothing but milkshakes, her eczema flared up and came back in places she hasn't had it for years. So she decided to cut back on dairy for a while, yesterday she was out with her friends and ate a chocolate eclair(the type stuffed with cream) and cheese Doritos, in the evening she complained that she felt itchy everywhere including inside her throat and nose, we've come to the conclusion that she is once again full on allergic.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experience on dc being allergic to something like this at such an old age, and any ideas of dairy free snacks as she and her friends like to share snacks at school, and also meal ideas.

Just to clarify it's an allergy not an intolerance.

She obviously overdosed' on dairy when she had D &V and the allergy is the result.

Try soya milk, the sweetened one with added calcium and vits tastes most like cow's milk.
I think Vitalite marg is dairy free.

You'll have to read the ingredient lists on the packages. Dairy is often where you least expect it, ie cereals and biscuits.

Look in the FreeFrom section of the local supermarket and have a look in Holland and Barret.

I would ask for further testing to confirm its just milk as the problem and to have medical eye on outgrowing possibility or if moving to severe allergy.
