Suspect gluten intolerance in DD (7 mo)

Hi everyone, I hope you can help!
My DD is 7 mo and I suspect she might have gluten intolerance. I'm pretty sure she's got CMPI and also reacts to soya (she's been very fussy and had only green poos until I gave up dairy, hidden dairy and soya). I recently started weaning (doing BLW) and for the first two weeks DD only had fruit and veg. I then gave her a little toast and pasta a few times. She then started having these episodes where she'd scream inconsolably (nothing helped then, not even the boob). It looked like she had a sore tummy as she calmed a bit once she had a poo. I now suspect that she's intolerant to gluten. I also came across someone whose DS had gluten intolerance and it was affecting their sleep. I might be clutching at straws here but DD has yet not slept through, wakes every 2 hrs and only settles on boob. I ebf and have stopped eating gluten since last week. I know it's probably not long enough to notice the difference but no more screaming from DD makes me think my instincts are correct.
DD also started sleeping a bit better.
I saw a GP last week to ask for a referral to a dietician/allergy doctor; she did refer me but said that since DD is thriving (on 91st centile) it's likely that they're going to refuse to see and test her. I sort of refuse to believe that lack of weight gain is the only symptom of an allergy...

What do you think? I'm keen to hear from someone who's got similar experiences. TIA!

I kept mine gluten for for the first 12 months anyway, because we have a family history of coeliac disease.

Thanks, I've stopped giving DD gluten now and as far as I know there are no food intolerances in the family...
Anyone else has some experiences with this?

The advice is to give gluten as a normal part of weaning if a coeliac (I'm one) as there appears to be more risk if it is introduced too early or too late.

DS is CMPA and soy allergic. I had lots of problems weaning for various reasons. Might sound obvious but was the bread & pasta soy free? I gave DS bread before realising they pretty much all contained soy Blush

His soy allergy is also super sensitive so I avoid soy lectithins, anything that may contain traces of, made in a factory that handles soy etc which has helped. Some E numbers are soy based too. It's a nightmare.

Not much advice as it sounds like you're on the right track.

Just some Thanks for sticking with the elimination diet. Sounds like you're doing a great job.

Superworm, thanks for your suggestion! I only noticed that most bread contains some sort of soya recently, so it is likely that it's actually soya DD reacted to. I guess I might try again next week (so scared though!).

Mine seems fine with bread , soya flour but not other forms.
