I have had diarrhea or constipation on and off for as long as I can remember. Coming in bouts , but have had bad diarrhea for the last 3 weeks so starting to wonder if it's more than just a bug and maybe something isn't agreeing with me ?

I also have stomach cramps and wind 90% of the time at the moment and bad lower back pain also am tired ALL the time have been for years and have had acne since I was about 10 recently ithas been a rash/ acne under my jawline that just won't go and constantly feel achy in my joints/bones (if they makes sense

Talking to someone just now I started to add up these symptoms and wonder if it's something?

I don't particularly like doctors though is just wondered if it sounds like something to bother them with?

sounds like IBS type symptoms. Have you tried keeping a food diary to see if you can pinpoint which foods may be triggering episodes?

Gluten intolerance/celiac disease. I had similar symptoms which had gradually got worse over many years. Dont stop eating it before test though as it needs to be in your system.

I would say IBS as well. I have Crohn's disease and I get all these symptoms. I cut lactose out of my diet and only have free range eggs and that's help a lot but different people find different things that help.

I would say coeliac too. The tiredness achey feeling was major for me as was the cramps and wind. In fact the wind was bloody awful. It's still my main symptom if I eat gluten.

I also had hormonal problems and was told I had polycystic ovaries. My skin was bad but it cleared up after diagnosis.

Go and have a coeliac test - ask your GP. Make sure you don't change your diet beforehand, you will get a false negative if you cut out wheat/gluten before the test.

If the GP suggests changing your diet/keeping a food diary, say no, you would like the coeliac test first. That is in line with NiCE guidelines. You can ring Coeliac UK for diagnosis advice.

It may not be coeliac, but it is important to rule that out before considering anything else. No competent, informed doctor will disagree.

Could be a lactose/dairy intolerance, I was just like you, when I went to the doctors they told me to keep a food diary and it was obvious within a few weeks that's what it was

I thought I had ibs too when I went but the food diary really worked for me and you can start it straight away
