Hello
I have searched mumsnet for tips and found some useful info but just wondered if there is anything else I could be doing/ preparing.
We are travelling from Yorkshire to mid-west France at the end of July. We are driving down to Dover and taking the ferry on the first day, staying over night in Rouen and then travelling down to the Limoges area (6 hours drive from Rouen).
We are going to be staying with my wonderful pils.
So this is what I'm thinking of doing so far.
getting a car fridge to transport lots of Pure
packing a box full of packet type stuff we use at home - stock cubes, cereal, ketchup, custard powder etc etc
for the journey:
ham sandwiches!!
we will be on the ferry at teatime. Would be great if I could give ds an evening meal of some sort. Wondering if I can bring something in the fridge perhaps they could heat it up in one of the restaurants or cafe, maybe buy some chips to go with it (should I risk it?)
For breakfast I was thinking about fruit/ cereal/ soya milk.
Not sure what to feed him for the next 6 hours (crisps and ham probably...)
Any thoughts or experiences?
Thanks so much x
