Hi, My MIL has been diagnosed gluten intolerant for many years now, but a few years ago she has been tested and found with a very high reaction to maize (corn) as well, which I gather is not that uncommon. The problem is she is very stubborn and ignoring the last part. She is not getting better on the gluten free diet... guess what it is full of corn syrup, starch and flour!
Can you find an substitute to gluten free bread for her? Commercial one, I offered to bake one for her but it has been dismissed...
Saying she haven't given up chocolate in the decade, I checked her favourite in the cupboards and they are definitely not gluten free... . She doesn't seem to understand the concept.
Advice on how to convinced a 75 yo to listen would be appreciated too!
It is affecting her life a big time too (she also have gout to make things simpler!)
Thanks
