I have 4 dcs, dd1 (11) has a severe shellfish allergy, ds1 (6) has severe life threatening allergies to milk eggs nuts and shellfish (cannot even touch them), dd2 has milk egg and shellfish allergy, bad but not as severe as ds1.

Ds2 is 11months old, reacted badly to dairy and eggs at around 7 months old so havnt tried it directly since.I am still bf and had myself had dairy/egg free diet but since feb I've been having some dairy (in tea) and small amounts of egg and ds2 is fine.

Iam terrified to just try him with milk or egg again in case he's like ds1 currently he has neocate lcp and also alpro 1+ mixed with porridge etc.

I don't want to exclude a food group if he's now ok with it but hospital are not being very helpful they said try something with cooked milk or egg in but won't redo his allergy tests before I try or agree to an in hosp challenge.

I was looking at aptamil comfort it says it is partially hydrolysed- does that mean if I tried it its less likely to make ds2 allergic? If he is still allergic would the reaction be less severe from a partially hydrolysed milk such as this?

Or should I just leave it till he's older?

id ask gp for a prescription for alptimal Pepti 1.

ds has cows milk protein allergy and has a small amount of soya yoghurts/ice cream but if he has too much soya he gets d&v so i wouldn't use it as a milk source

Is pepti completely milk free or hydrolysed ?

It's hydrolysed and contains lactose to stop them becoming sensitive to that.

It's a little less hydrolysed & tastes far better than nutramigen
