Allergies and intolerances

intolerances and gradual re-introduction

saw the paed allergy specialist about ds2 the other week
she confirmed that he doesn't have allergies, and that it is most likely intolernace, which we already knew really

anyway she said that we should try and gradually re-introduce egg and milk into his diet, one at a time as we have had a couple of occasions when he has had one or the other with little or no side-effects

so we have started on milk. he hasn't shown any major symptoms and so this week has had a bit more than usual
his face is now all shiny and red on the cheeks and it's beginning to crack, which i think is the eczema coming back?

he had one fairly loose stool, but otherwise normal

has been off his food a little, but not sure if that's because he has maybe had a tummy ache or because of the cold he has had!

anyway, my question is... do i keep on giving small amounts?
do i stop if he shows any reaction? or just keep on as long as he isn't in pain/sick/very bad poo...?

he is 3, but has delayed speech so can't really tell me if he feels unwell

well what i mean is we've started with milk rather than egg. not milk as in raw milk straight away! sorry to confuse

he has had a small piece of cake that was made with marg that contained milk (rather than proper butter)

and he has had a couple of tsp of yoghurt mixed in with a soya yoghurt

thanks for advice though :) will stop until he is all better and then try again

I have also noticed that with my DD(2)'s reactions to dairy, soya & oats the time she takes to react has gotten longer but the reaction is still bad iyswim.

Her nursery gave her a very small peice of cheese last tuesday week and she did not really react to it till thursday night and now we have had constant runny poos/sore tummy etc (sorry TMI) for 8 days Angry

It does seem to be easing up slightly today
