GGT levels

I have routine blood tests every month or so as I have other health issues and my ALP levels are always high. I have just had GGT level checked as haven't had that done for many years and it was 40. At my hospital the normal level shows as 5-55 but upon googling I understand that it is different for men and women. Would you say this was too high for a woman. I do drink wine and am now concerned. TIA

You're well within the normal range, so don't worry. The male/female thing is irrelevant, as your result is specific to YOU, so if the lab range states 5-55 as a normal range, you should go with that.
