Will my gp prescribe me antabuse??

I have an alcohol problem. I want to stop but for some reason whenever I do decide I'll end up going on an even bigger bender. I'll drink a 70cl- litre bottle of vodka in one sitting. Maybe once or twice a month. I've been like this on and off since I was around 18, I'm now 33. Idk why I do it, I guess I just like the feeling of being pissed (at the time) but i can honestly say hand on heart that every single bad thing I have ever done has been when I've been drunk, I don't like the person it turns me into, I'm an embarrassment. I don't want to keep doing this, I'm worried about my health and petrified about what could happen or what I might do when intoxicated. I can go weeks between drinking but when I do I go all out and I have a stupidly high tolerance too which doenst help with the sheer amount I can put away. I want to be prescribed antabuse, I really feel like these would be a deterrent as that's all I need, just something to stop me in my tracks when I do decide to pick up a bottle. But I'm scared to ask, I've only just come to the realisation I have a problem, I thought I was just a party animal I'm not though, I'm a drunk and I need help. I'm scared to ask and what if they say no?? What is the possibility of my gp prescribing these?
