OK briefly we are trying to trace dh's real dad.

I know his full name, approx age that he is a registered mental health nurse working in North London. He is registered with the NMC so I know he is currently working.

I have checked the electoral roll (not listed), bt directory enquiries (not listed)

I have telephoned every hospital in North London and been told they have no record of him except for one who have his name but he no longer works there.

I cannot go to the salvation army family tracing for help as his dad was not married to his mum.

I have now come to an impasse as I cannot ask anyone at any london hospital or the MNC for his contact details due to data protection.

So I am just left with the question do I go to a people tracer, has anyone used one of these were they any good?

Or do any of you good people have any ideas that I have not thought of yet?

Yes thanks hifi we think he has opted out of having his info included in publicly available electoral roll as he is not there.

I know this doens;t answer your question but it may be that he is not listed for personal security reasons if he has been working as a registered mental health nurse.

sitdown - that thought had crossed my mind too tbh and I wasn't surprised he was not there, if I was him I'd probably do the same!

Sorry to be asking so many questions.

Would they then be able to get hold of info from organisations like his address workplace so that they can contact him on our behalf then?

I was thinking what with data protection we were pretty much stuck.
