Letterbox contact during lockdown

I was wondering what was happening about letterbox contact in different areas during lockdown. I sent our off in June and usually get an email acknowledgment within a few days and a response within a few week. This time we’ve had neither and I’m a bit worried that dd’s birth mum will think we haven’t bothered or will worry that all is not well with her. Any ideas?

Hi,

Ours has been exactly the same I'm afraid - no added Covid issues. Can you email the letter box team, and if no reply try all the agency contacts you have?

Also I always date my letters in case there's a delay so the birth family can see when I sent it in.

Mine thanked me for my commitment as due to lockdown they weren't sending out reminders this year. We're lucky as we always get a prompt response and even with COVID we emailed ours in and received a response from birth family within 6 weeks

Mine was in June and I received a letter confirmation that the letters had been received and would be passed on. I haven't received any letter back from birth family but that's fairly standard. I'd also agree with calling/ emailing to check. There will be someone working in some capacity. Even if they're at home they should be receiving email and probably calls too.

We normally post ours but emailed them to letterbox this time. Acknowledged by letterbox within a week. They have a note on their email footer saying there may be a delay if you post stuff rather than email it.
