Adoption

Too late too adopt?

Adoption always appealed to me and before ma and the DH has our own kids we said we would like too in the future. In fortunately I think we closed that door for ourselves as I am expecting our sixth child. Or could we look into adopting when our bio kids are older. Opinions pls?

well that depends on how old you think you might be when you apply.

Adopters do tend to be older, many in their 40s and 50s, occasionally you come across adopters in their 60s, but usually with a younger partner.

With so many I would imagine most social workers would want to see most of your existing children grown up and independent as it would be difficult to give an adopted child the time and attention they need
