Congratulations! It is a big sign off, things are moving forward!! We are going to panel in April, but it was supposed to feb, then march, but i'm a big believer in fate, and it will happen when it happens (without silly hold backs), it's a long process, keep going and good luck, but do celebrate.

Oooh, exciting! I’d love to hear an update on what the sign of meeting entailed as we’re a few steps behind you

I feel a bit flat, to be honest. It was a difficult interview, with new people who I hadn't met.

Came away feeling a bit stupid for even thinking we could do this.

Need the weekend to come early now !

Oh Topcat! I am sorry you are feeling like this. This sounds like a tough process for end of stage one, we didn't have to do anything like what you are describing. Are you with an LA or a VA...maybe move agencies? They shouldn't make you feel like that.

With the LA - but there is a change of staff, so our original SW not available.

Planning to pick ourselves back up this weekend - do some more reading, etc.

After all, it will help develop the toughness we will need :)

You sound more positive than this morning. Have they progressed you to stage 2? For us stage 1 was more just refs, medicals, Crb, basic home check, talk about motivations and 2 day training, no red flags, so we moved into stage 2 - they did put you under undue stress really for stage 1. All of them seem to do stuff differently. But it is tough because the constant feelings of being judged are tiring. I hope you have a lovely weekend, maybe do something with your DP this weekend that's unrelated and something that you won't be able to do when you do get through the process to take your mind off things - boozy lunch??

I think we are moving to Stage 2 once the medicals finally come through (they are in the system though), and a couple of references still need to reply.

I know none of it is supposed to be about 'Us' and it is all about the children - which of course is as it should be - but it would be nice for a little recognition that we are actually putting ourselves out a little..
