DD has a bald patch on the side of her head. I thought it was from rubbing it over xmas when she got nits from nursery.
Yesterday she sat on my knee for a cuddle with her bottle and pulled a chunk of hair out to suck on it. I was shocked and took the hair out hr hand but she just pulled out some more instead.
She has always sucked her hair, I have no idea why she would pull it out but as she doing it when having her bottle I think it is part of a comfort thing. There have been no changes that would cause stress. Has anyone else had this? Is there anything I can do to stop her?

My little one pulled/yanked at her hair when very distressed when she was first placed, she's now stopped yanking it but does pull out any hair elastics etc when she's upset and try to pull at her hair, I find a fiddle toy to distract her hands can work, It sounds like your little one isn't necessarily doing it in your view, could it be happening at night time? Does she gave a comfort toy or teddy? Maybe a taggie could work so her hands are busy holding it?
