I thought all our checks were back and I was just in limbo waiting but we are still waiting on the nspcc check and the education board check can anyone who as gone through this enlighten me on what these are and how long they take ?

I don't know what those checks are? We had a medical and DBS checks during Stage 1, references were in Stage 2 - one each from employers and then our friends/family referees. Never heard of NSPCC or Education Board check. I'd maybe ask your SW.
