Post adoption planning meeting/introductions planning

Hello lovely people! I am after your experience once again! After matching panel, when did you attend post adopt planning meeting or plan dates and times of intros?

Hard to plan when you don't know what you are planning for!

We met about a week after matching panel. The day after we received the confirmation that the match had been approved by the agency decision maker. That meeting was only two days before introductions began though.

Intros were about a week after panel, our planning meeting on the first morning of intros.

Depends on whether or not the agency decision maker is at the meeting , how far the various people involved have to travel , Sw holidays ( I've never known a profession to have so many holidays )

Ours was straight after panel tbh I would try to get them to do it them eveyone is there nd it saves taking another day off

Also I would have some read lines in your head on adoption uk There was talk of 56 week long intros

We are with a VA told our sw we are not doing more than 10 days and also it can only be done during school holidays as we have a teen studying for finals and the school are not authorising days off for any reason and sickness has to come with a doctors note

Planning meeting was 10 days after panel (day after ratification) and intros started the afternoon of the day the planning meeting was held! I had about two hours to kill from the end of the planning meeting to allow foster carer to get home and feed DS before I rocked up!

The whole planning meeting felt like two years! All I kept thinking was yes yes shut the f up and let's get this train rolling. I was so early to the foster carers I was sat in my car round the corner for an hour mumsnetting and trying not to loose the plot! Half expected to see a thread titled a strange women had been sat outside my house for and hour and is rocking in her seat...should I call 101?

It's soooooo exciting and tiring I can't compare it to anything else.
