Can anyone help having a bit of a issue with my sw


We're 2nd time adopters and hVe also been foster carers for some years so have experience

The issue is our sw she is really nice but keeps trying to steer us to younger children babies now she showed us a profile of a child who was 22 months old our child is 3 we rejected the profile as our preference is girls and yesterday we enquired about a girl who is 18 months old she is now saying the girl is a little bit on the old side

Well oh was like well the profile you showed us nearly 5 months older than the profile we are looking at

Also she keeps going on about the child being mix d heritage yes we are a mixed couple and our adopted child is mixed however my birth child is black so I really don't see the issue I think we should be looking at mixed heritage, black , and white children tbh.

In the long run it is us who have to live and raise the child

Sorry to hear you're still having these frustrations with your SW. How long is it til you can go on the National Register?

We asked our SW to talk us through the whole list of children in our LA who were currently waiting, so we could see for ourselves if our SW wasn't picking up on children who we thought we could be matched with. It was useful to clear up any misunderstandings.
