Our gaggle are finally asleep in their new beds. It's been a long and winding road and I've hidden on this board finding support in the darker moments, so a massive thank you!
They're happy, we are ecstatic and whilst we know there are going to be bumps in the aforementioned road..... Well it's worth it for those cuddles. Intros were long and arduous for us all, now we can get on with it. What an incredible day.
No apology for my shmushiness; I'm normally not like this!

Lovely post. It's a surreal but amazing feeling that first night. Hope you get some sleep, I was awake most of the night I think, too excited....

There's no way I can sleep. I've just done a round of peaking in and adjusting covers. Red cheeks and snores! :-)

Congrats!

I'm almost scared to ask - how many children constitute a gaggle?

  1. It's lovely and noisy here today and some weetabix even ended up in the right place.

Wow! Be kind to yourself - going from zero to four is going to be an extreme experience, but so happy you had a good first night. Congratulations!

An "old adoptive" mum here but only one at a time x8 !!
But my lovely cousin like you went from zero to four (1year - 5 years) they are all now young adults and are fantastic people. Cousin has gone to adopt another sibling group of 4 and is doing so well!
So good luck AND ENJOY!!!!

4 !!!!!

We went from 0 to 2 and that was hard enough!

I take my hat off to you.

I found the first 3 months tough but it seemed to get easier after that as I knew their likes and dislikes better, how much they ate on days out, how frequently they needed toilet stops etc. etc.
