Is anyone up? DD missing

Lilka · 10/06/2014 01:35

She stormed out hours ago after a row, without her phone, not come back. She's never stayed out this long before and she's vulnerable

Police have been and left now
She's not with her friends
Not with her birth mum (I had to check but I feel guilty for making her worry, she's texting me every 10 minutes to check if DD's back yet)

Sad Can you hold my hand a bit?

Hi Lilka, I'm here. How old is she? The police will be looking hard for her, I hope she turns up soon.

I'm up. I hope she turns up soon!

She was 18 a few months ago, but she's got a mild learning disability and mental health issues and she's more like a 12/13 year old-ish than an eighteen year old

Thank you

Even at 12 or 13 you can need to let off steam. Would she have means to alcohol? Maybe just fell asleep somewhere. My sister did that at 15. Fell asleep and we had the police dogs out and helicopters and she woke up with about 200 missed calls to ask what the problem was. Are mine of her friends covering for her maybe? Xxx

You must be going mad with worry. I'm so sorry. The police will be doing their utmost to find a vulnerable girl. Of course she will be back safe & sound soon, but I know that won't stop the worry.

Thank you

She didn't have any money on her
Friends sounded concerned and I spoke to their parents too

Rationally I know she's probably turn up soon but I'm still going crazy worrying. Normally when she goes off (which isn't that often) she just wanders round for a couple hours on her own and then comes back. She got lost and panicked by something once last year but she had her phone on her so I picked her up a sobbing mess.

I'm scared of her panicking if the Police find her. They scare her for reasons I won't go into and when she panicks sometimes she lashes out. She's a bit unpredictable

Are you ok?

They found her
I'm off to collect her (she's refusing to let the Police officers too close to her), and then I'm going to collapse

I knew it was you when I saw the post. Poor you Lilka to go through that worry. Am sure you haven't slept a wink.

My sister with a similar mental age started doing this to my parents at this age. It is so hard.
