We have a BS and an AD. All going very well so far, though early days. BS thinks he would like to speak to other children who have adopted siblings. It's a big ask, but if any of you have children who might be willing to chat to him over the phone, that would be great.

Thanks

Hi Jenny, We have a Bd and As. We asked the local authority who we adopted through about this, and they put us in touch with another local family. It was great for dd. If you didnt adopt locally i am sure your own local authority might be able to help. Not sure if my dd would talk over the phone though other wise would have offered. Good luck

My dd might. Or might not. She's at the age where I can't be sure, but I will ask!

How old is your BS, jenny? I seem to remember he's 10?

Thanks so much and for the PMs too. Will try the local authority as I worry that he won't actually want to talk on the phone. Face to face would be better but then, I wonder if he would actually take the plunge and just talk to a stranger. Perhaps email would be best? He's 9.

We found it best for us all to meet up at the park, then have a coffee and kept it quite low key. I think dd just found it good to know there are other families like ours.

Good idea. Thanks and thanks to all for PMs. Good to know we are not alone.
