What would you recommend? My 8-yr old is very keen (has read 3 book and seen 4/5 films). My 6-yr old is less enthused but will probably be put out at not getting anything HP-themed if the other one does, so hey ho 🙄

The M&S house hoodies look nice, and I've seen some nice stationery sets, but can anyone recommend any good board games? (We have normal Dobble and I'm not keen on the cartoon characters in the HP Dobble.)

The Magical Beasts board game is probably playable by a 6yo.

Mine really like the HP lego sets.

I've bought the invisibility cloak for DS2 (8). It was half price in Tesco!

The Jim Kay illustrated edition of the next book?

DS loves the Lego.

Both DSs got the light painting wands a couple of years ago which DS2 still plays with.

DS loved the Trivial Pursuit last year at 8 but you need to have read them all really. 6 might be too young.
We all love the Lego.

Dressing up? Mine loved the velvet cloaks. One had a red quidditch one with a broomstick. One had the black one with a wand.

The Build a Bear bears are lovely but approximately the same price as a four bed house in Central London.

We’ve got HP Pictopia, trivial pursuit and a HP wizarding quizz game. This year my 9 & 7yos are getting HP storage boxes with stationary in, Tom riddle diaries with invisible ink, water colour painting sheets, Dobby, accessories from primark, compact, nail files, snitch lip balms, makeup face wash headbands, house pens, notebooks. My 7yo is getting an invisibility cloak.

The duelling wands are good, you can sync them up to each other. There are also some good books, your 6yo might like the marauders map that you can use a black light on to see the footprints on the map

I saw the hoodies in M& S they look good but as usual I couldn’t get the right houses in the right size.

Mine have HP notebooks and pencils, HP fleecy throws, HP Lego sets, HP books besides the actual stories, HP game for the PlayStation, HP wands and a quill and ink set. They also have some HP clothes and soft toys. Most of this is from Asda, Tesco or Waterstones.

A timeturner is tat, I know, but they're quite pretty and make a lovely stocking filler.

That depends. DD got hers from the Nobel Collection and is worth the price.

Saying that she bought it herself when she was 12.

@LegoPandemic thanks for the H&M tip, I've bought house sweaters for my DSs. They had the right houses in the right sizes!!

With Labyrinth game... we found the pictures were a lit clearer on the original, unthemed version than the Harry Potter version (where we had to examine closely to tell them apart). Its a good game ththough.
