How much do you pay for breakfast club?

School breakfast club. How much do you pay per child, and how long is it for. Does it include food?

I feel like ours is expensive! Primary age.

Ours is £1, an hour ish long. Breakfast is cereal or toast with various toppings, and a fruit bowl most of the kids help themselves to as they arrive. There are drinks of dilute orange, blackcurrant and milk on offer. Or plain water if that's what they want.

Used to be £1.50 when it was run externally & offered some cooked items.

My DS breakfast club is £2.50 if he is there from 8am. From 7:30am its £5. They start school at 8:50am. That's with food included.

£4. 1 hour long and includes cereal/toast or pancakes (the ones you toast from a packet, don’t think they have staff whipping up fresh batches)

£4.20 for infants, includes breakfast which is cooked.
Junior school is £2.50 but doesn’t include breakfast. Breakfast is sold separately, I give him £1.50 a day which gets him a sausage sandwich and a carton of juice.

Both start at 7.45, school starts at 8.45

£5 here. Open for an hour and 10 mins. There's a good selection of cereals, toast and little pancakes but I'd prefer to pay less and have less choice! My ds eats at home before going anyway.

Really quite varied then. I can't help but feel that £5 per child for 40 minutes is taking the mick

£6.50 for 1 hour, no food (7.30am-8.30am).

At 8.30am the Welsh government free breakfast club starts. This is when the food is served.

It's advertised as childcare for £6.50 rather than breakfast club but I still think it's steep considering the children don't get any food...although being able to drop off at 7.30am onwards is perfect for work so we pay for it and just accept that's the situation.

Free from 8:30 with cereal or toast. £2.50 from 8 am to cover extra salary for an early drop off.

£6. Its open 7:40am - 8:50am and you pay the full £6 regardless of what time your child arrives.

After school club 3:20-6pm is £11! Feels a lot when you have three kids to pay out £51 a day on wrap around care. Over £1K a month just to the school usually.

MushMonster · 25/11/2021 16:45

Mine used to be £5, and they had breakfast. Opened at 7:30.

Ours is expensive as its a profit making venture by the school. So we pay £6 per child for a maximum of 55 mins care with basic food of toast or cereal.

£5 for the morning session but it's not a breakfast club as no food is provided. It's childcare. Can drop off from 7.45 and school starts at 8.55.

After school club is £7.25 and they get a snack
