How hard can it be to get organised?!

Please help me find a way to have a synchronised family calendar, my Apple calendar doesn’t sync with my work outlook (disabled for all employees)

I’ve downloaded Cozi and added my personal email address, sent an invite from work address to personal address but it doesn’t show on the calendar.

Please tell me there’s a solution, I can’t take the weight of the entire family coordination much longer!

I have a paper calendar on the kitchen wall. If anyone asks me about a date and I'm not in front of it they have to wait til I get home and look at it. That's about it.

I'm a big gadget freak and love an app, however I also have resorted to a paper calendar and diary. I work on the basis that if it's not on the calendar it doesn't exist.

I'd love an app that did it all for me but am yet to find that holy grail so following with interest!

What are you struggling with?

Recently got a fabulous app called Family Wall. It's free. Can sync to iOS calendar either way. Different colours for different family members / types of calendar entry etc.

We have family wall too. Had it a couple of years. Husband syncs his Google calendar with it. I just use the family wall and put a widget on my home screen.

As pp says, you can colour code people which makes it handy. You can attach photos to appointments so I upload hospital appointment letters and stuff.

It's pretty handy. If you upgrade you can add more people but we are ok with the two of us.

I haven’t found a solution other than to manually add to the work calendar if necessary. Tedious but works.

I use google calendar and just check between that and my work outlook, however I think you can link the two

My only solution has been manual entry like PP. It is a pain so I keep it fairly high level, days I’m travelling, immovable events and days WFH. I work away from home so probably keep less on it that most would need though.

We have a paper calendar on the kitchen wall with a column per person (plus a spare one I try to use for meal planning but forget).

Like @HugeAckmansWife and @camomilla we have this high tech solution.

I take it to meetings with me by photographing it before I leave the house......

I put everything, personal or otherwise, on my work calendar. I mark personal stuff as private so no one else can see.

I'm sitting at my desk 5 days a week, so it's right there in front of me, if it wasn't, I'd forget everything.

I have the outlook app on my phone so can check it when I'm not working. There's no expectation for me to be chacking emails when I'm not at work, so I don't fall into a trap of doing work outside my hours because I've seen an email come in.

Oh, for stuff the rest of the family needs to see I have a year planner on the wall. I found with a month by month calendar I'd turn the page on the 1st (or 2nd!) and discover something happening that day that I had forgotten.

I do this too, but makes me chief organiser. I’d like for the rest of the family to see the same!

I’ll check out the app mentioned below, thanks
