Fucking hell I hope she is found. So many things about the timeline don't add up.

I saw the story on my news feed this morning and don’t really understand what’s gone on. She was with her boyfriend travelling in Utah (?), then she disappeared, now he’s driven home with their van just saying “I hope she’s found” ???? It’s so weird. It certainly seems like he’d be the most likely person to help find her or know what happened to her, and now he’s all the way across the country, almost shrugging it off??? So strange.

I read on Instagram from a friend of hers that they had a falling out and he drove off and left her.

But it's sounding weirder than that. I can't see why he'd hire an attorney and refuse to speak to the police if they just fell out.

His comment saying he hopes she is found and comes home is weird too.

Even if they'd split up, surely he still cares about her as a human being. Not cooperating with law enforcement is often a huge red flag.
I really hope he hasn't caused harm to her, and I hope too that his family aren't covering up for him.
My heart goes out to Gabby's family, and I hope she's found safe and well as soon as possible.
If the ex-boyfriend is innocent, I hope it's proved beyond all reasonable doubt.

Brian is missing now too? I thought his getting a lawyer rather than reporting her missing and then his statement about her was strange. I notice her family think he's gone on the run

I've been following this for the past couple days. I feel so bad for Gabby's family. Are US police really that thick? I know Brian was only a "person of interest" so they probably couldn't legally order him not to leave his home, but at least they could have had his house under 24/7 surveillance and followed him when he left his house to go to the Florida nature reserve (as he claimed)? How could the police just let the key witness vanish like this?
