Do you own a nice, but inexpensive, chess set?

If you do, could I see a pic or link please?

My girls have taken up playing chess together after tea so I thought I'd surprise them with a decent set but don't want to spend loads as it might just be a "fad".

They're currently playing with a set from Poundland that has missing pieces being stood in for by previously unloved loom band charms Grin

I bought, and recommend, this one ...
chess.co.uk/collections/plastic-sets-boards/products/plastic-weighted-gambit-chess-set-folding-board-and-drawstring-bag

If you were thinking of buying something much more expensive then I would recommend buying 2 of these instead because having 2 (or more) chess sets helps if you are trying to analyse a chess game.

An additional small travel magnetic chess set would also be good.

Thank you both.

London that's actually really helpful; they've downloaded an app & taken to mirroring their RL moves on there so they can discuss/analyse what they're doing so if we do get another we'll keep this one and it's loom band charms Grin

They can also play chess online. The following are well known sites where you can play:
//www.chess.com
//www.lichess.com
//www.chess24.com
You can also learn from those sites and use them to analyse games.

Ours was from the souk in Marrakech! Not very helpful, sorry!

Our was part of a wooden board games set that also includes backgammon and ludo. Came in a nice box.

We also have a magnetic travel set from WHSmith.
