Why is a non teens trip to the smoke made to sound like a great adventure?

It’s possible it was a jolly jape. She looked confident in the released photos and there was an 11 year old boy who decided to get on a plane at Manchester and fly to Italy on a whim/adventure.

Of course there may be also be a sinister explanation but we simply do not know at this point.

Perhaps it was just as it's been reported. Child with an adventurous spirit, naive enough to act upon it but savvy enough to fib their way out of being apprehended, terrified parents, child explores sights they'd been desperate to see, police track them down, nee-naw nee-naw all the way back to Bolton.

There may be nothing sinister going on at all. I don't know why the assumption is that there is, but I may have missed the obvious when reading the news report.

The original reports suggested that she might have hone to London to persue her dream of running a clothing business. It's possible it was all a big adventure, although I haven't seen the report you're referring to.

I think because for the child it was a big adventure.
And no harm done.
So instead of a potential massive tragedy it has ended up with a happy ending and being a bit impressed at her resourcefulness.

I didn't assume or suggest anything. I work with life savvy pre teens, a trip this far, at that time of night, at the end of primary, is not a jolly jape nor should it be advertised as such.

Anything is possible until the real reason is revealed so yes it could be a jolly jape or something horrible and anything in between.
