So a 96yr old man has a heart attack. Most mornings he has bacon/eggs etc fried in oil. Would your position be to cut down on the oily foods because they aren't very healthy for anyone at that rate let alone a near centenarian but would your view be well you're 96 so if you fancy also breaking out a crack-pipe have at it!!!

Just curious as I'm not sure where I stand on this and I do have a stake in this particular battle.

Have the eggs...cream in your coffee and sugar as well. 4 tablespoons if you fancy!

I'd say that that meal had stood him in good stead for decades and as long as the doctor was happy, he should carry on eating it. I bet he's hardly eating a thing anyway.

At 96 he may as well have a cigarette with his eggs and wash it down with a nice cold beer.

Perhaps a nice fry up of a morning ain't all that bad if he's made it this far.

Seriously? How long are you expecting him to live? Leave him alone. And the bacon and eggs are not the problem at 96. The 96 is.

God you've got to have some fun in life, let him have the fry up!

I've often said if I make it to 90, I'm trying heroin. I imagine it's great for the aches and pains.

My dads 96, I think he's earnt the right to do whatever he wants. He's still living independently, driving himself and doing his own shopping. At that age they're not going to go

Fry up with clotted cream on top if he fancies, with a lovely crack pipe to finish.

Ultimately it's up to the person themselves. If his bacon and eggs make him happy so be it. 96 is a phenomenal age, he probably wants to enjoy whatever he can while he can.

Team crackpipe here too!

Wash it down with some decent unprotected old lady sex and a tequila.

Eat whatever he wants
I used to work doing community cardiac rehab. I had an upset patient whose favourite food was prawns and the dietitian told him to give them up. He was 95 and still living independently. I told him if I reach 95 I'll eat anything I want, he was chuffed to bits and started eating prawns again
