Adult braces anyone? Help!!

I had six month smiles put on last week, and my god am I suffering! Not so much pain but drooling, can't eat, feel ugly and ridiculous! I've lost 5lb in less than three days.... where they've put blocks on my canine teeth my back teeth no longer meet 🤦‍♀️ My mouth feels constantly full and I have a third date tonight! I'm sure it'll be the last one 😂 Has anyone else had these and how on earth did you get through it! Only opted for these over Invisalign as they would have taken another year on top. Currently drinkers blended up veg soup through a straw. With a wine. Any tips please?! However two of my teeth have moved already so that's something.

I have train track braces but i had the blocks as well and rang them a few days later cos i was convinced there was something wrong

That's reassuring! I am ever so slightly regretting it! My top lip is resting on the brackets too which has just reminded me how thin it is too 😭

I ate a lot of mashed potatoes

As the blocks came off it felt weird again because my teeth weren’t meeting in the right place but after a few weeks they adjusted

It's definitely worth it. I had a lot of discomfort at first and my top lip looked like I'd had my lips done due to the brace fixtures. I used to split when I talked at first. 😂. That said when I got the brace removed I was so happy.

Had mashed potatoes yesterday funnily! Yes... my lips look like someone would pay for them 😂 They're huge!!
