Ensuite extractor fan advice needed

Our extractor fan is useless - absolutely no draw of moisture- if I hold up a sheet of paper to it the paper just drops to the floor and we are getting mould in the room now.

I've looked in the loft and the ducting is uncoiled so no obvious reason why it doesn't perform the job apart from its probably just a cheapo fan and not up for the job.

There are so many different types, makes and models online to buy - I want to ensure I her a replacement fitted that actually does the job.

Has anyone here had a similar issue and found a solution that works?

I cant comment on the quality of fans but I've never used any of ours and we don't have any significant damp/mold issues. We do open a window though

Do you have a window you could open instead ?

I have a fan like yours op but always have the window open. ( and in the house through the day ) Never had an issue with mould. I also have the radiator on in winter and when it is cold. Do you have a radiator/ towel heater in the bathroom?

Where is the mould? Walls? Ceiling? Could it be a leaking window frame or leaking roof dripping down into the bathroom?

I always think the ones at Centre parcs that seem to detect humidity and spin faster always seemed different, this article was interesting;
