Hello! I just wondered if anyone had a preference and if you would recommend them? Thanks!

We have both. I don't use them but the girls do (dd2 even likes one with a cuppa Hmm). They prefer the glass ones since we got them (Poundland had 4 for £1 the other week, with a little brush to clean them).

We bought Sho stainless steel ones which come in a pouch and a brush for cleaning. However, you definitely can't use for not drinks . Ouch !

We use stainless steel ones as they are bomb proof and can go through the dishwasher

I use silicone but I’m autistic and I can’t bear the feeling of a solid straw. Metal is particularly bad - I can’t even drink out of a metal cup/flask 🤢

Silicone

I love my straws.

I got some silicone ones and hate them, they're just too narrow and squishy.

Metal, with a dinky bottle brush to clean them.

Silicone, definitely. So much nicer to drink out of than metal - I often had the feeling I might damage my teeth on the metal ones, though I'm not sure that's a realistic fear or not.

I have a selection of reusable straws and I love them. I have silicone and stainless steel. I started drinking coffee from a stainless straw and I love it. My teeth look better. Still not great mind you but so much more better. The stainless steel straws are my favourite because they come in different lengths and also different shapes - straight/bended.

We have glass ones. They’re great and come out of the dishwasher sparkling clean. They came with a little cleaning brush but I’ve never had to use it.

My son chipped his tooth on the metal one.
