I went to home bargains earlier on, specifically for things for dd2's packed lunches...I managed to come out £45 lighter Confused

I did get the packed lunch bits! And freezer slushes, and candles, and bath bombs, and a wireless mouse for dd1, and drumstick squashies dry shampoo and, well, the receipt's rather lengthy & random Grin

Normally I'm in and out in under ten minutes in a rush to get back & to work though.

What random "essentials" Hmm do you end up coming out with?

Btw, the dry shampoo does smell quite nice & I think I should have got the other one they had, as well.

Funnily enough I'm just sat admiring my new tea light holder.

Fiver! Can't tell on the photo but it's covered in bumble bees.

RJnomore I think the other one was refreshers. I'm hoping they still have that one next time I go!

I have a home bargains at the end of my street! I have to severely limit myself going or I’d be bankrupt. I need to go tomorrow or Monday for masks, shampoo, soap and stain remover (3 year olds, eyeshadow and carpets do not mix). I normally come out with pop tarts, those boxes of little brownies and macaroons some ridiculous toy for £1.99 each for the kids, massive bar of milka and anything else I spot!

God, I always do that at HB's! Go in for cheap laundry detergent and come out with a trolley full.
Biscuits and snacks usually, Ive got 4 kids - three are teens! - they go through snack foods like sand through your fingers.

Marshmallow mateys cereal is the BEST. Better than lucky stars and over half the price. I also love their two for £1 giant anti bacterial floor wipes. Always buy whatever surf is on offer and the best value too. The garlic Alioli In the yellow pot in the fridge is absolutely ESSENTIAL for sandwiches, cheese boards etc. The giant sharing packets of extra light and fluffy pork scratching are great too.

It’s for my best friend, she loves drumsticks and her 40th is at the end of the month so I’m getting everything I can find. I’ve akready got soap and a bath bomb last time I was there.

Might get the refreshers for me! I’m out.

Laundry products. Lenor crease release spray (I don't iron Grin) i hang stuff up on hangers and spray.

Shower gels, bubble bath.
Large hair clips for sectioning. Dry shampoo, heat defence spray.

Coffee - my local HB often has Nescafé Azera at 2.99 which is what we drink.
Popcorn for DCs movie nights 4 for £1.

I do always come back with a much lighter wallet Blush

I only buy manual toothbrushes from Home Bargains. They sell a basic one for 39p which doesn't have fancy bristles or useless plastic/silicon bits. And they come in yellow, which is my favourite colour.
Otherwise, I always buy:
Big boxes of soap powder
99p fountain pens
Random chocolate to put in school bake sale rocky road
White Snickers
OGX Shea shampoo and conditioner as they work well on my mixed-race daughter's ringlets

I went in to get catfood and handwash and came out with a unicorn duvet set for DD. Usually I also get chocolate peanuts but I'm supposed to be trying to stay off chocolate. Grin

RJnomore that sounds like such a fun present!

Geller I like their baking stuff too. I didn't need anything today though. Probably a good job really, I filled two bags & was walking home! I did buy baking paper for 79p ish though.

letsjog does the crease release spray actually work?

there are signs on the candle shelves in our home bargains (and the birthday cards, painting and decorating supplies, gardening stuff) saying not to browse the non essential items!
