Banjo Robinson for reluctant writers?

An ad for this has just popped up on my feed and I’m wondering if it might help DC5. Enjoys reading, doing activities in CBeebies magazine type things, will sit to ‘draw’ and cut etc, would happily trace things; but does need quite a bit of prodding, coaching and direct supervision to sit and write anything but their name. Diagnosed with ASD and attention not always the best, but then they’re also five years old, so...

We do have a paid Twinkl membership and I don’t want to double up and pay another fiver a month (BR is on offer) if we could find something similar on Twinkl. Have you found BR worth it? Or are there any reception teachers or more experienced parents who could recommend specific Twinkl resources to encourage writing, before I fall down a rabbit hole there?

I’d have been a shocking teacher 😂

There was a Banjo Robinson product test thread here a few weeks / months ago OP which might help you decide. I signed up for the same reasons as you and it has really captured my five year old dcs imagination. Only problem is that now I don’t feel I can stop the subscription as would struggle to explain to him why his ‘friend’ had stopped writing! It is lovely though.

Ah, that’s useful, thanks Smile Haven’t been on for a bit - will have a look. Glad it’s working for you!
