Help, have I ruined this chilli?

I added the mince to the pan, then for some reason added the tin of chopped tomatoes straight after Blush
Will it still cook properly since I didn't brown the mince? What an idiot! I was going to give some to my 12 month old too but not sure I dare now, shall I just chuck it in the bin?

Just cook it a little longer. It'll be fine. Beef can be really tasty if it's allowed to stew in a sauce without being browned first.

It'll be fine! Keep going. Don't chuck it.

It's how it's done in my slow cooker recipe, just it all in raw and hours later, voilá

The meat will look a bit pale compared to when you brown the meat. It will cook perfectly well. Plenty of dishes including meat are cooked around the world without browning the meat first.

It will cook through and be safe to eat, you brown the mince to improve the taste and texture so it might taste a little bit different but definitely ok to eat.

Lower the temp and cook for longer.
Put a lid on the pan.

The meat will cook fine, yes. But if you are giving some to your one year old I wouldn't put too much chilli in !!
