My legs are on fire. Help!

Just hoping that somone can shed some light on what is wrong with me... since Wednesday the insides of my legs have been painful and have a horrible burning sensation.

They are hot to touch and look and feel just like sunburn (I'm in the UK, it's been snowing, its definitely not sunburn!)

It's around my knee area to mid thigh so way too low for chafing - and looks and feels nothing like that anyway.

Any ideas what it could be and what I'm supposed to do about it?

Thank you for that! Interestingly I have had a couple of issues lately with the scars on my stomach area getting infected and I've been unable to feel it/ notice it until it's been a raging weeping disgusting mess. I didnt connect these to begin with, although I'm unsure if the article means lack of feeling in the affected area on the legs...

Better talk to your GP, peripheral neuropathy is a sign of various things I guess, hope it's not too serious and you get some answers

Thank you ScrapThatThen I will try to get an appointment.

ChinookPilotsGoVertical oh gosh I've just googled that and it looks so sore! Mine doesn't look like that, but if this is the early stages of it perhaps...? It's about equal on both of my legs though and from what I can see on Google it doesn't look like a symmetrical type of condition.

In the early stages of irritant contact dermatitis my inner thighs looked like that- took a long time before I realised that I had developed an allergy to most washing powder - by which point my entire body was covered in something that looked like psoriasis.

Worth a check, if you have at all sensitive skin.
