Start using Mumsnet PremiumI am just finding myself just wanting to tell people to fuck off
(118 Posts)I don't ...obviously but in my head...." just fuck off"
For reasons that may have just made me roll my eyes normally
I am so fucking NARKY.
Is it just me or is everybody on the verge of stabbing people?
Yes! I have had enough of people.
Ditto. So crabby. But is it surprising in the circumstances? I'm just glad I haven't completely lost it with anyone. Yet.
Me too. Think it's an age thing - I am increasingly intolerant towards idiots!
Yes, I can't be arsed with anyone. People talk/phone/text and I have nothing that I want to say to them, and I couldn't give a hoot about what they're telling me 90% of the time. Very narky here too!
I woke up like this today. Bad day for a skip truck to block the end of my road when I needed to drop the DC off. The horn use was cathartic
Ditto. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not on the BBC news pretty soon. I'm close to absolutely letting rip. Everyone is getting on my last nerve and when I'm alone in the car, I go into a full on rant, detailing all the ways in which I loathe various people. I need new and more obscene swear words right now, more than ever before.
No, I'm actually quite pleased to see people when out and about, so maybe less narky than usual. Unless they spend too long perusing the minced beef in Waitrose, bin which case, yes I could get a bit stabby
I’m also really having to bite my tongue in staff meetings to avoid being labelled the ranty one even more than I usually am. Mute my mic.
People have always been annoying, in general.
But it does seem like we've all forgotten how to get along together in a larger sense, and that's worrying. I don't know how to "people" sometimes. Or it just plain tires me out.
Scottish insults are good for growling at annoying people: try bawbag, bampot, rocket, wassock, roaster, tube.
God, sorry, I am one of those mince ditherers from the supermarket.
It's like being a time traveller from Victorian times seeing a supermarket for the first time - it just strikes me as being so odd
Not that I'm.at home slaughtering my own meat since lockdown
It’s lockdown
I’ve lost all veneer of civilisation

God no, none of them are even close to strong enough.
I channel my inner Fleabag - internal narrative is so cathartic.
I have cried every day at work since Christmas (in private) because I hate everyone and everything.
I am planning on seeing how I can subtly not turn up to any group teams meetings - not the important or client ones but the social ones because I loathe everyone and everything they say. They are all just awful (I usually love my team but I am fed up of taking in their shite but literally no one at all giving a reciprocal shite about me because I am meant to be senior enough not to have feelings).
In the absence of proper therapy, or primal screaming without scaring the neighbours, I have found listening to Transvision Vamp ‘I don’t care’ very loudly helps
I'm wondering what I will be like when we can mix. I have visions of inviting friends over, then telling them to clear off an hour later. I get peopled out very quickly as it is.
Yup, that’s me. I am in such a mood today, inwardly (I hope) rolling my eyes and shouting very bad swear words in my head. It doesn’t help that I am surrounded by incompetent fools at work.
@mnahmnah the kaiser chiefs " every day i love you less and less" is my fuck right off song, played at full blast
See, now I feel guilty 7Days. I will endeavour to be less stabby in the meat aisle
@JackieweaverhasALLth
Good call. Music always works. Either getting the rage out or cheering you up. I will also add Albania Morrisette’s ‘you oughta know’ to the rage expulsion list
Albania?! Alanis!!
God yes - it genuinely worries me that I will have to stop the eye rolls and swearing at my computer when we go back to the office, I'm not sure i'll be able to at all!!
No. I'm pleased to see people. Just not the people I live with; now they make me narky!
