I always recommend Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series - first book is One For the Money. Rachel’s Holiday by Marian Keyes is head and shoulders above the rest of hers. And yes to Bill Bryson.

I tried that Emma Kennedy one because it gets recommended so much on here but wasn’t a fan. I don’t think I bothered to finish it and that is rare for me.

Round Ireland with a Fridge, Tony Hawks. Properly laughed out loud. French Revolutions, Tim Moore is another cracker and A Year in the Merde, Stephen Clarke is terrific. Love travel as a genre!
