If you WFH, what's on your desk?

Thought I'd start a little light hearted thread amongst all of the doom and nastiness. I have the tiniest desk, and I'm thinking it needs a bit of a clear up. So here's what's on mine:-

Laptop (obvs)
Mouse
Alexa Dot
Chilli's bottle
Ipad
Phone
Handcream x2
Lip balm x2
Airpods x2 (one for laptop, one for ipad)

Oh and the remains of breakfast at the minute! What's on yours?

Practically my daughter's entire bookcase of books as I try and figure out the perfect combination to get my screens at the right height!

I don't have a desk! I use my laptop and work from the sofa or bed.

It's not ideal. Sometimes I use the kitchen table if I'm making videos and I've got a whiteboard in there

DH always WFH a few days a week pre Covid and now 100% so he has the “office”. I just do some work from home but certainly won’t be once back to normal (work in school) so I don’t have a “desk”.

Currently I’m at the dining table so I have my laptop connected to a larger screen, notebook, pencil case, mug of tea, plate with toast crumbs, phone and iPad for occasional mumsnetting.

Yesterday I wasn’t working on spreadsheets so didn’t bother setting up in the kitchen, just had laptop on my lap on the sofa!

Same here lol Blush
I use a shoebox to place underneath my laptop so it’s raised and I don’t have to look down all the time Grin

But I usually have my phone and water or ☕️ near me

Mine is the kitchen table or a folding table in the front room, so it all has to go away each night. Laptop, mouse, airpods, phone, big pile of papers, pen, stapler, cup of tea. I often have a cat close by too. I will be back in the office as soon as I possibly can, don't like WFH.

Desk tidy with pens, highlighters, random bits of paper to keep, paracetamol, handcream, work mobile.
Laptop
Work diary
Personal diary
Various note books containing various lists and notes and stuff
Water bottle
Coffee mug
Small cardboard storage box which is the perfect height to sit the laptop on for a good video call angle to achieve minimal chins.
Printer is on the chest of drawers next to me, as my "office" is the corner of my bedroom which isn't ideal

I have always worked from home (for the last 15 years anyway) and am slightly obsessive about keeping my desk and office sparse and clean, as I think it helps me be more productive. On my desk is:

My laptop
My monitor
Wireless keyboard and mouse
Thin/ space-saving USB desk lamp
Notebook and pen
Office phone and my mobile
My SAD lamp ❄️ ☀️

I've Wfh for 25 years so have a proper desk.

Laptop locked on a dock near the back. Two decent sized monitors, keyboard, mouse. Caddy for pens, paperclips etc. MN 'naice coffee' mug with broken handle, used as main pen/small screwdriver holder. Reading glasses. Note blocks, post its, scrawled on a4 scrap paper. Piles of papers I need to read, and the one I'm currently working through implementing a method.
Small lamp.
Screen cleaning cloth and spray. Usually a box of tissues, I need to remember to get a new one out.

A little crystal ball with a Buddha etched in it, and at the moment a small vase with an orchid flower stem I accidentally broke off a plant.

Side table with printer, stapler, landline phone, headset, diary.

I wfh, so have my desk and filing cabinet so I can spread over both.
Laptop, screen, mouse, keyboard, printer, landlines, WiFi phone, 2 mobiles, WiFi receiver (have to reset regularly for some ridiculous reason), desk lamp, photo frame, tissues, Calendar, drinks and snacks.

I'm probably in a lucky position as this was obviously all in place precovid. So it's meant that homeschooling has been easier to accommodate as we're not literally on top of one another.

Two widescreen monitors, keyboard, mouse, mouse mat, notepad, pen, catalogue, headset, mobile and dongle for work VPN. I don't have room for any extras and hate clutter anyway.

My PC unit is under my desk. I have a plug in TP-Link Powerline so my internet is hard wired as I need to upload large files and the Wi-Fi was struggling.

I wish I had a cat though Smile

I forgot my 2TB external hard drive. The laptop is connected to the internet by Ethernet, this is the first computer I've had which has been WiFi enabled but I wouldn't dream of using it rather than a wire.

I'm working on a garden table in my office as I'm still waiting for my desk to turn up. My fiance's turned up last week so he's very smug.

But I found a wee book shelf we weren't using and put a basket at the bottom to hold my stuff like glasses cleaner and duster, moisturiser, lip balm, calculator bits like that.

On my "desk" I have:
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse/ mouse pad
Chilli bottle
To-do list
Mobile
Usually my calculator

Oh I just bought a really cute rose gold pencil pot because I am millennial and it brings me joy.
